Join the harbor walk and experience the history of one of the best preserved old harbours in Denmark. After the walk we go directly to the shipyard and proceed with a guided tour.
Experience our steamship simulator and get a glimpse at the maritime cultural heritage, the traditional shipbuilding and do-it-yourself workshops for everyone to try.
Experience the history of one of the best preserved old harbours in Denmark, Aeroeskoebing, e.g. the cooking house, the bath house and the longest railroad in Denmark. Get a glimpse at the restoration of the S/S Svendborgsund built in 1906 and the techniques from yesterday. Explore the old machines and read about them, educate yourself and do the ”13’s lottery”. At the blacksmith workshop you can try forging the red hot iron, at the copper workshop we make runes like the Vikings and produce all kinds of jewelry. At the rigging loft we make rope, keyhangers and bracelets. Several monitors show films about seamanship and crafts related to it. Occasionally the slip will be occupied by old ships to be restored.
